Can you play ftb on lan
Are you using any programs to facilitate the connection? Such as hamachi. Henry Link Popular Member. Also, where did you get this crazy port number from in your log? Jul 31, 2, 1, Henry Link said:. He's wireless and so am I. We've tried it as well with directly cabling it to the router, but to no result. They are both on the same network, as said above, so they are connected to the same router.
As said, normal Minecraft works perfectly fine. We've tried this double-sided. With either me as host, or he with me as host. This might be a clue to what's wrong. And no, we're not using any software to support the connection. No proxy's, no hamachi, nothing but minecraft FTB. Reactions: DeathOfTime. There should be tons more. Possibly get the error again. Shut down both games immediately.
Copy them somewhere else and then upload them to seperate pastes on pastebin and link to them both here. It is to the point that I usually just have one of the PCs running the server software as well.
Then both PCs connect to that server. It works out a lot better for me. The PC I am using to do that isn't beefy at all all the parts are not only old but cheap. So it might be worth a try running a similar setup to bypass a lot of the LAN stuff. I hate ports btw. Local is I found that to be the fastest way though there is probably better ways.
I notice you're using Hamachi. I never liked that program, so I can't really help you with hamachi problems. I used other alternatives though I can't remember what they were. It should if the above worked. If it didn't but the normal minecraft launcher did, allow the FTB launcher through the firewall. Same steps I mentioned for allowing the vanilla launcher through.
Then try installing your modpacks with a brand new map. One of the mods in the pack are conflicting. Disable everything, enable a few at a time, like a group of 5, then try it. If it works, then apply another 5 until you get the error.
Now you have knowledge, one of those 5 is the culprit, find out which one and then figure out if you can update that mod to make it work, or just don't bother and disable it and go on with your day. If that works, but you try using the map you want to use, but you get that error, you now have a problem. That means there is something in your map that is causing conflict.
Something, it could be a single thing out of the millions of objects in your world causing conflict. It has been awhile, but I believe minecraft also offers crash reports and logs. Maybe there is something there that offers information. It's kinda hard to read but if it's an object in the world then it is listed with a bunch of other items listed. That's the gist of what I go through dealing with minecraft problems. I could go more in depth but I would follow that first.
Don't try to figure out a problem with every mod you want all at once. That is never a good idea. Like really, you're just asking for your free time to be robbed from you.
Jul 29, 0 0. Is the server running on a 3rd PC other than your and your brothers computers? Then you have to add the server with it's IP address. This also applies if you are running the server as a separate process on your or your brother's PCs. If you are running the server from your client start Minecraft, start playing, opening world for external player access , then once you start the game, search for LAN network game from the other PC I think that's what it is called.
There are two different ways to play minecraft with other people. One is to start a minecraft server, and then have clients connect to it. That server process is outside of FTB or any other launcher. The other method is to start up a world in a client FTB launcher, vanilla, etc , and then open that game to others open to LAN, or whatever the button says. I had the same problem start vanilla up and look for the man ip there then start up ftb and put the ip in connect to a server spot In short one start the lan on ftb the other looks for the ip on vanilla Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk.
