Where is mt ordeals
However, it may be easier to simply heal the party as needed, and focus down the boss. The strategy is more or less the same from the first fight: have Cecil attack with his sword, and have the others cast Fire or Cure.
Taking the time to have Porom and Palom use Twincast is quite effective; just have Tellah heal them so an untimely death doesn't cancel the spell. After you have dealt with Scarmiglione for what will almost certainly be the last time, continue across the bridge and walk up to the tombstones. The party enters a room in the tombstone, and Cecil obtains a shining sword of light, which turns him into a Paladin.
However, his Dark Knight self attacks! You may be tempted to attack with the shiny new sword, cast Cure, or try out the new Cover ability that Cecil gained, but resist the temptation for now. Do absolutely nothing in this battle, except sit on the action selection menu, taking the hits from Cecil's Dark Knight self.
Eventually, your enemy stops attacking. After the battle, Cecil becomes a proper Paladin, as evidenced by the fanfare. Tellah also realizes that he now remembers all of the spells that he had forgotten.
On top of that, Tellah also learns Meteor. Palom tries to tell Cecil something, but Tellah's excitement and desire to avenge Anna cuts her off. Head back down the mountain, saving and resting up at the save point if needed. If you picked up Paladin armor for Cecil before heading to Mount Ordeals, be sure to equip it now. Once back on the overworld, make your way back to Mysidia to report Cecil's success to the Elder.
Return to Mysidia, and speak with the Elder in the Hall of Prayers. The Elder recognizes the sword that Cecil obtained on the mountain, and tells him the legend of the sword. Palom and Porom reveal that they had been spying on Cecil, but that with his transformation into a Paladin, he has redeemed himself. The Elder opens the entrance to the Devil's Road, so that the party can make their way to Baron.
The twins decide to tag along on Cecil and Tellah's quest for revenge. If you didn't pick up Paladin armor for Cecil, make sure you do that now, since he cannot wear any of his old Dark Knight gear anymore.
There are a few items that Tellah would benefit from wearing as well. Now that Cecil is a Paladin, some of the villagers react differently. Some recognize his brilliant light, and forgive him of his actions as a Dark Knight. Others still cannot forget so easily. However, Cecil no longer gets turned into a toad by the villager outside, or poisoned at the bar.
The dancer still turns Cecil into a pig, though. After your preparations are complete, go to the northeast part of town and enter the building - the entrance to the Devil's Road. The party follows the path all the way to Baron. Meanwhile, back at Mt. Ordeals, go through where the fire was and continue leftward. Go past the staircase here and to the right of it you'll find a treasure chest holding a Potion.
Another Potion can be found atop the stairs to the left we previously passed by. Remember also that the foes on this stage are primarily of the undead variety and are susceptible to attacks by the mages of both Fire and Cure varieties. Additionally, they are strong for now against Cecil, who is equipped with Dark equipment. Hence, basic Fire and Cure spells could and should be used against most of the foes here, having Cecil either defend or clean up the scraps.
Nonetheless, with both Potions acquired, head forward up the final staircase and through the door to the left into the next area. As you go forward through this linear area, a familiar man will come out of the door ahead. It's Tellah!
He'll rejoin the party, but not before Cecil and he catch up and he meets the twin mages as well. It seems he is seeking the Meteor spell to kill Golbez with. After he joins the party, head forward through the door ahead and to the left.
Go all the way to the left and up the stairs to retrieve an Ether from the treasure chest atop the stairs. Go back rightward and then head forward and up some stairs, and then westward over a bridge. Before going through the door and to the mountain's summit, however, veer downward to grab another Ether from the treasure chest there.
Then, go through the door above. Here, run forward and veer rightward to the save area, where you can use a tent to heal and save your game. All the while, funny noises are being heard by all.
Suddenly, Scarmiglione appears! It's time to do battle! Scarmiglione isn't too hard to beat here, nor are his four companions. To get rid of them completely since you can't really attack the primary foe here until they are gone , have everyone defend until you get to Palom, and have him cast on the four of them collectively the Fira spell. With that casted, it should kill the foes leaving only Scarmiglione.
He likes to cast Thunder a lot in fact, he counters with it but doesn't prove to be too much of a threat. Tellah should heal, cast fire, and defend when necessary. Cecil should concentrate on his weak physical attacks, but that's all he can do for right now.
After a little bit of this, this simplistic foe should be no more! There's little time to celebrate, however. As soon as you go across the bridge, Scarmiglione will attack the party again, this time in his "true form.
Otherwise, here he is! Take out the Skullnants with some strong Fire or Fira attacks hopefully Palom knows Fira by now , then go to town on Scarmiglione himself. Fira is great, especially if bolstered by Bluff. Scarmiglione makes a comeback in a back attack when you try to cross the rest of the bridge. The real battle begins now. Swap your row to start, then get to work. This version of Scarmiglione ditches Thunder for poisoning, and will likely inflict it on your entire party.
If Palom Bluffs himself once or twice and then uses Fira he can easily take Scarmiglione out on his own. Defend throughout the fight to win. At the very least he now has the Sword of Legend , which works wonders against the undead of Mt. Tellah has regained all of his spells. He knows freaking everything , including the ultimate spell, Meteor. Then head back to the Elder and speak to him.
